The Wells Thomas Firm, LLC is a law firm located in downtown Atlanta with two satellite offices located in Conyers and Jonesboro Georgia. Our goal is to assist those who have tried everything to resolve their financial problems without success. We understand that the harassing calls, embarrassing letters and constant worry of creditor action can cause a variety of problems in all aspects of your life. The United States Bankruptcy Code was enacted to protect consumers whose finances are out of control, often due to problems like divorce, job loss, illness, and uninsured medical expenses.
Senior Partner – Tami Wells Thomas
Approachable, compassionate, knowledgeable, candid, and an active advocate for the people, are all characteristics that embody Attorney Tami Wells Thomas.
Tami Wells Thomas is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and Denison University where she received her Doctorate of Jurisprudence and Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science, respectively. During her matriculation at Denison University she interned with the District Attorney’s Office in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Mrs. Thomas also worked with the Knoxville Legal Aid Society for two years while in Law School. In the summer of 1996, Attorney Thomas interned with the Office of the Attorney General and studied abroad in Cape Town, South Africa during her second year of Law School. In 1997, Attorney Thomas was admitted to practice law in the Northern District of Georgia and the Georgia Supreme Court. Thirteen years later she was permitted to practice law in the Middle District of Georgia in 2010.
Mrs. Thomas practiced primarily as a bankruptcy attorney for over thirteen years, while also conducting real estate closings, divorce and adoption proceedings. She recently served as a partner of Saedi & Wells, LLC, where she practiced all facets of bankruptcy law for nearly eight years. Tami Wells Thomas possesses a fervent desire to empower people by educating them on the law in straightforward laymen terms while using resources as work related attorneys such as the Reis Law firm and others. Thus, in an effort to provide greater personalized attention, Mrs. Thomas decided to construct an independent firm
Attorney Thomas built her firm, Wells Thomas Law, LLC, with the interest of the people on her forefront. She remains forthright with her clients about the law and their options. Mrs. Thomas refrains from utilizing fear tactics to coherence potential clients into working with her firm. Her objective is to provide clients with a sense of awareness and adequate comprehension of their options. Attorney Thomas provides personalized attention and serves as the main point of contact throughout the litigation process.
Continuously working to empower the community and remain abreast on the consistently changing laws and statutes, Mrs. Thomas maintains memberships with the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys (GABWA) and Metro Atlanta Consumer Bankruptcy Attorney Group (MACBAG). Attorney Thomas is also Chair of the Legal Committee for the Decatur Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority Incorporated. Furthermore, she has instrumentally served as a mentor in various volunteer settings, which include the “Sister 2 Sister” mentoring project as well as teenage mother mentoring programs sponsored by Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority Incorporated and Wesley Chapel Church. Mrs. Thomas is currently involved in community outreach activities such as Friends of the Wesley Chapel Library’s Annual Book Club Conference, an active member of Kindred Spirits Book Club and Springfield Baptist Church located in Conyers, Georgia.
Attorney Thomas understands the needs of the people and sympathizes with individuals in the bankruptcy process.
