Attorney Thomas, an Atlanta native, received her undergraduate degree in Political Science from Denison University in Granville, Ohio. An internship opportunity at the District Attorney’s Office in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, further confirmed her desire to pursue a legal career. She worked with the Knoxville Legal Aid Society for two years while earning her Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the University of Tennessee. Amid hosting financial management courses at local churches including Springfield Baptist Church, Attorney Thomas serves as the President and co-founder for the Newton- Rockdale Legal Association, New Rock Legal Society. Attorney Thomas is also an active member of the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys (GABWA), Metro Atlanta Consumer Bankruptcy Attorney Group (MACBAG), and the Legal Committee Chair for the Conyers/Covington Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority Incorporated. Additionally, she co-founded the Friends of the Wesley Chapel Library’s Annual Book Club Conference and is a member of the Kindred Spirits Book Club.
